Our philosophy: Support weight loss properly
I am proud to say that we are not just any diet provider. We are at our customers’ side with heart, mind and all our knowledge. Because we want to help other people lose weight in a responsible, holistic and healthy way. And we have been doing so for over 30 years. Our diet concept is simple, but successful: At Love Husk we combine high-quality, tasty products with comprehensive, personal advice. And this works for all “problem zones”: No matter whether you want to successfully reduce your weight and keep it permanently or occasionally balance out minor weight fluctuations. We are always at your side.
Our history: 30 years at your side
Come with me on a little “diet time travel” through the last 30 years. Because even if we are all about less weight, we have a lot to tell!
We started out in 1986, when we were founded as the “Society for Healthy Living” in Bickenbach near Darmstadt. Our headquarters are now also located in Darmstadt.
Right from the start, the quality of our products was extremely important to us. Therefore, our “BCM Diet and Nutrition Program” (we are the original!) was developed by doctors and nutritionists and offered by them mainly in our local advice centers.
You are just wondering what BCM stands for? I will gladly explain it to you: BCM stands for the Body Cell Mass to be protected during a diet. These are all metabolically active body cells. After all, we want our customers not only to lose weight, but also to lose weight in a healthy way.
The BCM concept quickly inspired many customers and so we soon also stood by our customers in Austria and Switzerland. Soon after, we were able to help people in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain lose weight. The company name changed to Love Husk, which stands for Prevention Concepts, and finally to Love Husk.
Over time, important areas of our customers’ lives have shifted to the Internet. There is no question that we have built up and expanded our online offer accordingly. At the same time the interest in the personal support on site decreased. This is why we have adapted our consulting services to the new requirements.
Our products: Diversity and taste are part of our success
We started with a start product and a shake, the “BCM BasisKost” in the flavour vanilla, a bar and the special herbs. With the increasing success, we naturally wanted to offer our customers increasing variety. We took the next step and expanded our product range with further high-quality and balanced diet products. After all, we know that variety is enormously important when it comes to losing weight.
Currently our customers can choose between five shakes, five soups, five bars and two start shakes in the Love Husk range. In addition, there is the spicy hot drink Special Kräuter for bridging the meal breaks, a practical shaker as well as three cookbooks with recipes that are easy to cook. My colleagues and I are particularly proud that our shakes are among the best tasting products on the market, according to independent studies.
While we are on the subject of studies: Of course, we have tested the effectiveness of our concept in scientific studies. These include, for example, the “Lean Habits Study” of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, in which seven “lean habits” were identified.
